Job summary

Prevail Recruiting is seeking a Commercial Construction Project Manager in Phoenix to lead tenant improvement projects from preconstruction through closeout for a seasoned general contractor.

You'll collaborate with superintendents, estimators, and executives, manage scopes from $3M to $50M across office, retail, medical, hospitality, and industrial sectors, with no long-term travel required in the Phoenix metro area.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-charge project management for a commercial GC.
• Experience managing TI, renovation, build-out, or interior construction projects.
• Experience taking projects from preconstruction through turnover.
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, estimating, buyout, and cost control.
• Excellent communication with owners, architects, subcontractors, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Own TI, renovation, and build-out projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects with scope, schedule, budget, and quality on track.
• Build schedules, identify critical-path items, and mitigate risk early.
• Manage budgets, cost reporting, change orders, and forecasting.
• Act as the primary liaison for owners, architects, engineers, and property management teams.
• Lead subcontractor buyout, scope review, procurement, and trade coordination.
• Build long-term client relationships through proactive communication and dependable follow-through.
• Review and interpret drawings, specifications, contracts, and project scopes.
• Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor progress, quality, schedule, and safety.
• Champion jobsite safety and ensure OSHA and company compliance.
• Manage the accelerated schedules and changing requirements typical of TI work.
