Job summary

GE Aerospace’s Defense Engines & Services organization seeks a Lead PHM Engineer to lead the PHM lifecycle across on-board and ground-based platforms. You will drive data capture, processing, and diagnostics while coordinating with controls, software, and external partners to achieve DO-178C certification.

The role requires strong PHM expertise, embedded C development, and experience with MATLAB/Simulink; a US citizen with eligibility for security clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• PHM experience is required.
• Strong background in systems and software engineering.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deliver and maintain PHM hardware and software across on-board embedded systems and ground-based platforms, owning the full lifecycle.
• Develop data capture and transmission from on-wing systems to ground, and create ground-based platforms for data processing and tool deployment.
• Define PHM system requirements and data flow, create message specifications and develop diagnostics.
• Coordinate integration with controls, software, and external partners; support testing, customer on-site testing, and DO-178C certification.
• Provide PHM integration support for fielded product lines and major upgrades.
• Prioritize PHM activities across functions; manage budget, resources, and schedule; remove roadblocks and support deadlines.
• Apply PHM knowledge to guide strategy, resources, and policy within the area.
