Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Roanoke, VA is seeking a Phlebotomist II Site Lead to direct daily activity at a Patient Service Center (PSC) or In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP). The role involves leading one or more PSR on site, ensuring accurate blood collection and proper specimen handling in a patient-focused environment.

The position requires at least three years of phlebotomy experience, strong data-entry skills, and flexibility to work a varied schedule.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience required.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver''s license.
• Willingness to travel to multiple locations as needed.
• Phlebotomy certification is preferred in some states.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens per established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Perform data entry and manage specimens labeling, centrifuging, and processing.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and quality assurance records.
• Assist with training and mentoring new staff.
• Communicate with patients to explain procedures and reassure them.
