Job summary

ICONMA is seeking a Phlebotomist II for our Athens, GA client. The role includes drawing blood, preparing specimens for lab testing, and ensuring patient comfort and safety during procedures.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, phlebotomy training/certification preferred, and 3–5 years of phlebotomy experience, with strong data-entry and customer-service skills. Medical assistant or paramedic training is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• 3 years of phlebotomy experience needed.
• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience required.
• Note: 5 years of experience requested; blood bank experience not considered helpful.

Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing.
• Explain procedures to patients and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence.
• Perform daily activities accurately under supervision, maintaining a safe and professional environment.
• Maintain records and documentation, supporting process excellence and confidentiality.
