Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a senior antenna systems engineer to lead design, simulation, and testing across Q-, V-, and E-band applications. You will drive electromagnetic analyses, oversee prototype fabrication and RF testing, and collaborate with RFIC/MMIC, DSP, mechanical, and thermal teams to deliver a cohesive system architecture.

The role emphasizes ownership of the hardware lifecycle from concept through environmental qualification, with emphasis on documentation and design reviews.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering with significant RF antenna design experience.
• Strong background in antenna design for microwave and mmWave phased-array applications.
• Solid electromagnetic theory knowledge applied to antenna design and phased arrays.
• Proven leadership in antenna/ hardware development from concept to validation.
• Experience with 3D EM tools (HFSS, CST, TICRA).
• Understanding trade-offs in beamforming architectures and antenna testing methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of antenna systems for Q-, V-, and E-band applications.
• Own EM simulations to optimize performance and drive decisions.
• Collaborate with RFIC/MMIC, T/R module, DSP, mechanical and thermal engineers.
• Lead prototype fabrication, assembly, and RF testing including near-field and far-field tests.
• Own full antenna hardware lifecycle from concept to environmental qualification.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, test reports and design reviews.
