Job summary
Blue Origin is seeking a senior RF antenna design engineer to lead the development of high-frequency antenna systems for space and defense applications. You will own 3D EM simulations, collaborate with RFIC/MMIC and DSP teams, and guide prototype fabrication, RF testing, and environmental qualification.
Responsibilities include lifecycle ownership from concept to production and comprehensive design documentation.
Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering with RF antenna design experience.
- Experience designing antenna elements and antenna-in-package solutions for microwave/mmWave phased-array applications.
- Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory and phased arrays.
- Proven leadership in antenna design from concept to validation.
- Proficiency with HFSS, CST, or TICRA.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of antenna systems for Q-, V-, and E-band applications.
- Own EM simulations using HFSS, CST, and TICRA to optimize performance.
- Collaborate with RFIC/MMIC, T/R module, DSP, mechanical, and thermal engineers to define requirements.
- Lead prototype fabrication, assembly, and RF testing (near-field, far-field, environmental testing).
- Own the full antenna hardware lifecycle from concept to environmental qualification.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation (design analyses, test reports, requirements, design reviews).
