Job summary

Smith's Food & Drug Centers is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy team in delivering health and wellness services while maintaining high standards of care and compliance. The role emphasizes customer service excellence, teamwork, and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.

You will assist pharmacists, train new technicians, and help manage pharmacy operations, including inventory and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must have completion of national and/or state registration, certification or license depending upon state requirements.
• Excellent communication skills with leaders and peers.
• Stellar customer service skills.
• Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Ability to lead a high performing pharmacy team.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those that require a pharmacist's professional judgement.
• Train and mentor new hire technician day-to-day training and support for pharmacy associates.
• Lead by example to ensure department standards are met and delegate as necessary.
• Oversee inventory management including reconciling orders and returns.
