Job summary

The Hometown Pharmacy in DeForest, Wisconsin is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist licensed pharmacists with prescription filling, inventory management, and clerical duties. You will support the Pharmacist Manager and supervise junior technicians to ensure accurate medication handling and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include training staff, managing scheduling, and maintaining confidentiality while adhering to regulations. Prior experience as a technician is favored.

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician - preferred or prior experience as a pharmacy technician.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Keep lines of communication open with Facilities Coordinator and Pharmacist Manager.
• Manage pharmacy technicians from a team-oriented perspective.
• Address and document struggles and triumphs with individuals.
• Collaborate with other department coordinators.
• Ensure pharmacy tasks in the filling area are completed efficiently and accurately.
• Train or delegate training on cycle and daily filling, labeling, MARs, and delivery lists.
• Locate, count, package and label prescription drugs and supplies accurately.
• Efficiently utilize robotic machines and accompanying software to package and check medications.
• Assist with inventory, ordering, check-in drugs, stock shelves, and remove out-of-date items.
• Resupply contingency boxes and restock medications.
• Supervise and support staff as needed.
• Maintain workflow.
