Job summary

CALRegional is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician Lead Instructor in South San Francisco, CA to train aspiring healthcare professionals. The role runs weekday evenings, Mon-Thu 5:00 pm–9:00 pm, with 182 hours of classroom time and a 120-hour externship pathway in retail or hospital settings.

The ideal candidate holds California licensed Pharmacy Technician credentials, at least 3 years in the field, and experience in teaching or supervision.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the State of California.
• 3 years of experience in the Pharmacy field.
• Teaching and/or supervisory experience desirable.
• Must be energetic and able to deliver instruction passionately.
• Efficient with computers and technology.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Must understand all Pharmacy related medical math concepts and be able to teach them to class.

Responsibilities

• Instructing students in all aspects of the Pharmacy Technician Field.
• Reporting and recording student performance and progress.
• Preparing students in 182 hours of class time, to go on to a 120-hour externship in a retail or hospital Pharmacy.
• Assisting students to develop an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideas appropriate to the health care profession.
• Providing a professional role model for students.
