Job summary

CALRegional in South San Francisco is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician Lead Instructor to inspire and train the next generation of healthcare professionals. Weekday morning and evening schedules are available, with Monday-Thursday 5:00 pm–9:00 pm shifts for this role.

You will instruct students in all aspects of the Pharmacy Technician field, report on progress, and prepare learners through 182 hours of class time and a 120-hour externship in a retail or hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician in California.
• 3 years of experience in the Pharmacy field.
• Teaching and/or supervisory experience desirable.
• Energetic and able to deliver instruction passionately.
• Efficient with computers and technology.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Understand medical math concepts related to Pharmacy and teach them to class.

Responsibilities

• Instructing students in all aspects of the Pharmacy Technician Field.
• Reporting and recording student performance and progress.
• Preparing students in 182 hours of class time, to go on to a 120-hour externship in a retail or hospital Pharmacy.
• Assisting students to develop an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideas appropriate to the health care profession.
• Providing a professional role model for students.
