Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician I to support pharmacy needs at the retail pharmacy located within St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL.

The Certified Pharmacy Technician I assists Pharmacists in processing provider medication orders under supervision, requiring standing, lifting and walking during duties. Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician per IDFPR and certified (CPhT or ExCPT) are required.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician license tracked by IDFPR (Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation)
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) validated by PTCB or ExCPT
• At least 18 years of age
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

This is an Hourly position.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Certified Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for assisting Pharmacists in processing provider medication orders utilizing prescribed procedures under the supervision of a Pharmacist. Work involves standing, lifting and walking continually while in the process of performing duties.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: High School/GED
• Licenses/Certifications: Pharmacy Technician license tracked by IDFPR (Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation)
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) validated by PTCB or National Healthcareer Certification (ExCPT)
• Experience: At least 18 years of age
• Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience: 1 year pharmacy
• Demonstrates knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical terminology
• Other requirements/information: Demonstrates ability to perform and apply arithmetic calculations Intermediate computer skills.
