Medical City Dallas is seeking a Lead Pharmacy Tech to support the pharmacy department under pharmacist supervision. The role involves preparation, distribution, and billing of pharmaceuticals, assisting in daily operations, and maintaining controlled substance documentation.

IV room experience and sterile compounding are highly preferred, with expected oversight of technician scheduling and performance review.

Formación

• TX State Board registration required.
• National Certification required (PTCB).
• Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of hospital experience.
• IV Room Experience required.
• Supervisor experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Identify critical issues and prioritize workload; communicate with staff.
• Complete education requirements and maintain competency.
• Comply with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Interact with hospital personnel in person and by phone.
• Maintain documentation logs accurately and consistently.
• Provide direction and training to other technicians as assigned.
• Assist in supervising technicians to ensure policy and regulatory adherence.
• Maintain medication storage and security per regulatory requirements.
• Conduct audits (e.g., anesthesia, overrides, billing) as assigned.
• Monitor quality control and performance improvement activities.
• Perform monthly medication storage area inspections as assigned.
• Assist in administrative billing functions and OR charges as assigned.
• Support pharmacists in clinical reviews (medication reconciliation, triaging reports).
• Schedule technicians as assigned and manage workflow.
