Job summary

Goshen Medical Center in Garland, TX is seeking a Pharmacist In Charge to lead the pharmacy and deliver exceptional patient care. This role focuses on safe medication use, team leadership, and compliance with regulations within our healthcare system.

The candidate should hold a Pharmacy degree (PharmD preferred) and current licensure, with the ability to travel to multiple facilities as needed to support operations and quality care.

Qualifications

• Education requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy and foreign equivalency.
• Experience: at least 2 years' experience preferred.
• Licensure: current pharmacy licensure in North Carolina.
• Ability to drive/travel to multiple facilities as needed.
• Team-oriented and collaborative approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain prescription records for at least three years.
• Ensure pharmacy follows statutes and regulations governing practice.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state medication dispensing laws.
• Ensure security of fax transmissions of prescriptions.
• Secure storage of prescription drugs, including controlled substances.
• Notify NCBOP of changes in pharmacist personnel within 30 days.
• Foster teamwork, staff engagement and community involvement.
• Support diversity and inclusion to ensure quality care.
• Maintain a safe patient environment per 'First Do No Harm'.
• Manage pharmacy staff, equipment and the facility.
• Oversee pharmacy automation and informatics risk management.
• Administer the 340B program as directed by Goshen Medical Center.
• Identify resource needs and advise management.
• Coordinate with Pharmacy Director to share information and resources.
• Operate with independence while receiving supervision from Pharmacy Director/Program Manager.
