Job summary

Mercy Health Leads Pharmacy is seeking a Lead Pharmacist for the Inpatient Pharmacy at Allen Hospital to oversee compliance with regulations and medication management standards, coordinating specialized activities across locations.

The role emphasizes leadership, staff development, quality improvement and collaboration with caregivers and leaders to ensure safe, effective drug therapy. Licensure and 3+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy from an ACPE accredited school required.
• State Pharmacist licensure required; driver's license preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of pharmacist experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Leadership, policy development and quality assurance experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead program development, policy development and implementation; quality assurance and performance improvement.
• Develop staff competency and training programs; coordinate compliance.
• Promote safe medication utilization and monitor adverse events.
• Communicate effectively with pharmacy team, caregivers and leaders.
• Oversee IV admixture services and related QA activities; participate in service committees.
• Oversee investigational pharmacy operations for research as applicable.
