Job summary

Azend Pharma in Piscataway, NJ seeks a Pharmacist in Charge to oversee daily operations of the pharmacy and ensure safe, compliant medication use.

You will supervise staff, ensure regulatory compliance, manage dispensing and compounding, and collaborate with providers to optimize patient care.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree.
• Immunization license.
• Compounding experience.
• Prior authorization experience.
• Current state pharmacist license in good standing.
• Licensed pharmacist with previous experience.
• Strong pharmacology, physiology, and drug interactions knowledge.
• Leadership and management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and patient safety.
• Knowledge of compounding and medication therapy management.
• Proficiency in medication administration, including IV infusion and pain management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the pharmacy department.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations guiding pharmacy practice.
• Ensure accurate dispensing, proper compounding and labeling oversight.
• Develop policies and procedures to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care and medication therapy management.
• Provide drug information to healthcare professionals and patients.
• Monitor medication utilization and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support clinical activities in ER and ICU settings.
• Maintain aseptic technique in sterile compounding areas.
• Maintain patient records and documentation.
