Job summary

Amentum is seeking a security-minded professional to join our team in the Washington, DC area as a Personnel Security SME/Name Check Analyst. The role focuses on reviewing security clearance and personnel data from multiple sources to produce comprehensive summaries and briefings.

You will coach junior staff, balance a dynamic workload, and deliver verbal or written briefings on case status while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with ICD 704/SEAD guidelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting security clearance processing.
• 5+ years of experience supporting the Pelican customer and utilizing systems of record.
• Experience creating and issuing oral and written case briefings.
• Proficient in creating succinct executive summary level documents incorporating multiple data points and sources.
• Demonstrated superior customer service and professionalism.
• Ability to use sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive information.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
• Demonstrated analytical ability and the ability to handle a medium to large, semi complex workload.
• Expertise of ICD 704 or SEAD guidelines.
• Knowledge of computer operating systems/tools such as Microsoft Office Suite.
• US government issued TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required at time of application.
• 5+ years of recent security adjudication experience.
• Expertise eliciting information during interviews and ability to work effectively with a variety of individuals.

Responsibilities

• Review security clearance and personnel data from multiple sources to produce comprehensive review summaries.
• Provide verbal or written case briefings on status and details as requested.
• Coach less experienced colleagues and share knowledge on best practices.
• Balance a revolving workload and prioritize requests as necessary.
