Job summary

Amentum is seeking a qualified Security Investigations Professional to support security assessment investigations, including background investigations, reinvestigations, and security clearances. You will analyze investigations, prepare detailed reports, and provide recommendations for adjudication while ensuring compliance with FBI regulations and security policies.

Qualifications

• Must have an Active Top Secret US Government Clearance. Citizenship required to maintain TS clearance.
• Bachelor’s Degree with seven (7) years’ experience OR Associate’s Degree with nine (9) years’ experience in the personnel security investigative or investigative analyst field.
• Experience interpreting governmental and commercial database checks to identify areas of concern during the investigative process.
• Experience analyzing investigative reports and other sources to identify security vulnerabilities; develop leads; propose approval/denial/revocation of eligibility based on adjudicative standards.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; able to conduct research via the Internet; familiarity with federal LE and IC IT systems; experience with government and commercial databases.

Responsibilities

• Review security questionnaires and verify information submitted on applications.
• Conduct background investigations and FPIs; prepare reports and summaries of findings.
• Perform data retrieval from credit bureaus and local agency checks.
• Prepare recommendations for adjudication of personnel security investigations.
• Provide security briefings and assist in line-of-inquiry planning for follow-on investigations.
• Maintain and update security documentation files and ensure data integrity.
