Job summary

Warrior Insurance Network seeks an Underwriting Supervisor to oversee the Personal Lines Underwriting team, ensuring high quality and timely decisions per established rules. The role includes scheduling, prioritizing, and assigning work to maximize productivity and efficiency across the department.

You will identify training needs, monitor performance, and participate in audits and performance appraisals while collaborating with internal partners.

Qualifications

• College degree or related industry experience.
• 3+ years of underwriting experience.
• Solid knowledge of technical underwriting.
• Ability to work independently on technical and administrative matters per policy.
• Possess leadership, training and development abilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify training needs and assist in designing training programs for department and employees.
• Monitor and report on processing and phone performance standards for each employee.
• Perform monthly underwriting and processing audits for each employee.
• Provide input for performance appraisals on processing, underwriting quality and quantity.
• Provide input for processing or underwriting related performance issues.
• Develop positive and productive relationships with Independent Producers.
• Mentor and guide Underwriting staff.
• Coordinate efforts with Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, Accounting, and HR to ensure operational efficiencies at the branch level.
• Continuously logged into the Personal Lines ACD (last in queue).
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
