Job summary

South Shore Bank in Hanover, MA seeks a Senior Personal Banking Advisor to perform branch duties, educate clients on bank products, and assist the Personal Banking Manager in operations. The position requires completing transactions, maintaining security procedures, and supporting sales targets while representing the bank in community activities.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or minimum six months to one year of related experience and/or training.
• Experience with electronic delivery channels including Internet Banking, Mobile Banking/Mobile Deposit, eStatements, Bill Pay, etc.
• Must be or become a Notary Public.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work intuitively and find creative solutions should any problems arise.
• Strong sales orientation with ability to balance multiple priorities, adapt, and work in a team environment.
• High degree of professionalism and ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients by telephone or in person with new account services and cross-sell bank products.
• Open/close the branch, process deposits, cash checks, and verify endorsements.
• Educate clients on technology and provide product demos to improve usage.
• Respond to audits and help complete branch monthly reports.
• Manage branch supervision duties including teller balancing and ATM settlement.
• Perform duties related to wires, foreign currency, vault access, and security procedures.
