Job summary

Responsibilities

• Help determine work procedures, work schedules, and expedites workflow.
• Coordinate logistics to lead the fast pace shipping department and meet daily customer demands.
• Review records for accuracy and compliance with procedures.
• Adhere to safety, company policies and procedures.
• Operate independently with minimum supervision.
• Manage warehouse space utilization, freight costs, trailer utilization, and driver/vendor coordination.
• Communicate with warehouse personnel regarding order readiness.
• Collaborate with customer service, sales, production and accounting.
• Assist with process improvement and housekeeping.
• Operate wrapping equipment when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities Include:

Helps determine work procedures, work schedules, and expedites workflow.

Coordinate logistics to lead the fast pace shipping department in meeting daily customer demands by fulfilling orders on time and providing outstanding service on shipping options for the customer.

Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures.

Adheres to all safety and work rules, company policies and procedures.

This job requires the ability to operate independently with minimum supervision.

Project management responsibilities include, but not limited to, warehouse space utilization, freight cost optimization, trailer utilization and driver and vendor delivery coordination.

Helps communicate with warehouse personnel regarding order readiness.

Works with other department staff members as required, such as customer service, sales, production, and accounting.

Helps with process improvement and housekeeping.

Able to operate wrapping equipment when necessary.

Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

At least 1 year experience in shipping environment.

Requires a demonstrated commitment to safety, process improvement and housekeeping.

Ability to work flexible hours when needed and Overtime daily and/or Weekend.

Must be able to sit, stoop, and bend.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, with varying temperatures based on season, around machinery, and heavy forklift traffic.

Candidates must possess advanced computer skills, and be extremely proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a packaging warehouse and/or manufacturing environment.

Fully proficient in all facets of warehouse operations including shipping, receiving and system administration.
