Job summary

PSEG Long Island, a Fortune 500 energy company, is seeking a Lead Performance Measurement Analyst to develop and maintain portfolio reporting, dashboards, BI solutions, and data governance for the Transmission & Distribution capital portfolio.

The role partners with Finance, Engineering, and Asset Management to standardize reporting, improve data quality, and enhance portfolio decision‑making. Strong analytical skills required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of analytical work, or 7+ years for non‑degree route.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative analysis skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office; advanced Excel features.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain reporting processes and dashboards to transform datasets into insights.
  • Provide timely, accurate reporting for forecasting and decision making.
  • Develop and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and Tableau data visualizations.
  • Support governance, quality standards, and Spend Optimization Suite (SOS).
  • Coordinate cross‑functional communication and document procedures.

Job Summary

The Lead Performance Measurement Analyst is a key position within the Investment Delivery Assurance (IDA) organization at PSEGLI. The role is responsible for developing and maintaining portfolio reporting, financial dashboards, business intelligence solutions, and data governance processes that support the effective planning, monitoring, and management of the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) capital investment portfolio.

The position provides essential support for capital portfolio management, business systems administration, enterprise reporting, data governance, and portfolio analytics in support of IDA leadership, Finance, Engineering, Asset Management, and other business stakeholders. The role also leads the development of standardized reporting processes, improves data quality, supports multi-year capital planning, and identifies opportunities to enhance business systems and analytical capabilities that improve portfolio decision-making and organizational performance.

Job Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain reporting processes and dashboards that transform complex datasets into actionable business insights.

  • Support business managers and analysts by providing timely and accurate reporting for forecasting, investigations, performance metrics, and operational decision-making.

  • Provide analytical and functional support in the governance of the Continuous Improvement program and related initiatives, analytics, relationships, benchmarking, diagnostics, and process adherence.

  • Develop and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and Tableau data visualization files, etc.

  • Analyze operations data and make recommendations for improvement

  • Support programs to establish and maintain quality standards for existing processes and services, and develop programs to focus employees on quality improvement at all levels

  • Support administration maintenance, and training of the Spend Optimization Suite (SOS).

  • Develop documentation, procedures and training materials for SOS.

  • Maintain reporting catalogues, documentation, and data governance standards to support operational continuity and knowledge transfer.

  • Support policies, procedures, training standards, and metrics to monitor and improve significant process and/or operational metrics

  • Coordinate project communication with impacted areas across the enterprise and partnered organizations

  • Identify discrepancies and revision and development phases in processes, procedures, and manuals

  • Must possess and maintain a valid US driver's license with a safe and satisfactory driving record.

Job Specific Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years performing analytical work or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 7 years of experience in the fields of Business, Statistics, Finance, IT, Regulatory Compliance or a related discipline

  • Demonstrated organization, and high level of analytical and quantitative analysis skills

  • Proficiency with MS Office Products - Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint with experience using advanced Excel features

  • Demonstrated experience in data mining and analysis

  • Demonstrated ability to develop new approaches with applicable tools to measure success Ability to quickly and effectively learn new systems and applications.

  • Detail oriented and able to work independently Demonstrated ability to work across department boundaries

  • Demonstrated experience promoting team effectiveness by soliciting input from team members, communicating expectations of the team and delegating responsibilities while providing support and structure

  • Effective time management, goal setting, manage expectations, adhere to deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to work across department boundaries

  • Compliance with the Department of Energy's regulation 10 CFR 810 is required

Desired
  • Degree in Business, Statistics, Finance or a related discipline

  • MBA or progress towards one

  • Two to three years' experience in Data Analytics or Project Management

  • Experience with Sharepoint and Tableau or Smartsheet

  • Working knowledge of SAP system including human resources and material management with an emphasis in work management

  • Experience in data mining, database development, or programming
