Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Cardiology remains essential.
• Completion of pediatrics residency and pediatric cardiology fellowship is expected.
• Eligibility for Texas medical licensure is required.
• Teaching medical students and residents is preferred.
• Additional training in cardiac imaging is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and manage surgical and cardiovascular issues in infants to young adults.
• Lead preoperative, operative, and postoperative care in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Coordinate medical plans with physicians, residents, and nursing staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Prescribe and administer medications and oversee diagnostic studies as needed.
• Provide leadership and participate in pediatric cardiology clinic activities.
• Perform examinations and orders for labs, imaging, and diagnostic tests.
