Job summary

TeamHealth has a premier opportunity at El Paso Children’s Hospital ED seeking a lead acute care or pediatric nurse practitioner. You’ll oversee a team of APCs, deliver pediatric emergency care and receive strong leadership support in a hospital with a busy pediatric ED.

Qualifying candidates will be board-certified NP in ACNP/AGACNP or PPCNP, with 2+ years in pediatrics, current ACLS/PALS, and Texas license/DEA or eligibility. Comprehensive benefits and CME opportunities accompany this role.

About El Paso Children's Hospital ED

• Annual patient volume of 27,000
• 13-bed ED
• EMR: Cerner
• 24 hours of physician coverage (12-hour shifts)
• 12 to 24 hours of APC coverage

Position Requirements

• Board-certified acute care nurse practitioner (ACNP or AGACNP) through ANCC or AACN, or board-certified pediatric primary care nurse practitioner (PPCNP) through ANCC
• Prefer 2+ years in peds
• Ability to lead and mentor a team of APCs
• Current ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Texas medical license and DEA or ability to obtain prior to start date
