Job summary

Temple Health Lead Patient Care Assistant will serve as the frontline clinical resource for the PCA team during each shift. The Lead PCA coordinates daily workflow, supports staffing assignments, mentors new and existing PCAs, promotes adherence to quality and safety standards, and serves as a communication link between the Nurse Leader, Registered Nurses, and the PCA team.

While maintaining direct patient care responsibilities, the Lead PCA provides operational support that improves efficiency,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant Program or completion of at least one clinical rotation in an accredited Nursing program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily workflow and staffing assignments for the PCA team.
• Mentors new and existing PCAs and promotes adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Acts as communication link between the Nurse Leader, Registered Nurses, and the PCA team; supports patient care and improves efficiency and patient experience.
