Job summary

Temple-Health in Philadelphia is seeking a Lead Patient Care Assistant for Nursing Administration on the 11 PM–7 AM shift. You will lead the PCA team, coordinate daily workflow, mentor staff, and serve as a liaison between the Nurse Leader and RNs while maintaining direct patient care.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, 3 years in patient care, and Basic Life Support. Preferred CMA or CNA certifications.

Qualifications

• Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant Program or completion of at least one clinical rotation in an accredited Nursing program Preferred
• 3 years of experience in a patient care role Required

• Certified Nursing Assistant Preferred

The Lead Patient Care Assistant serves as the frontline clinical resource for the Patient Care Assistant team during each shift. The Lead PCA coordinates daily workflow, supports staffing assignments, mentors new and existing PCAs, promotes adherence to quality and safety standards, and serves as a communication link between the Nurse Leader, Registered Nurses, and the PCA team. While maintaining direct patient care responsibilities, the Lead PCA provides operational support that improves efficiency, consistency, staff engagement, and the patient experience.

Education
