Job summary

You will train new staff, supervise registrars, and help ensure efficient registration processes with a strong focus on customer service and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School or GED (Required).
• Excellent customer service skills. Knowledge of worker's compensation and health insurance. Familiarity with medical terminology. 1-2 yrs. related Experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Patient Registrars and Scheduling/Bed Management Coordinators; train new employees; attend workshops and seminars to maintain knowledge of current registration trends.
• Distribute work among employees to ensure registration is efficient; process employees' pay records, vacation schedules, and coverage.
• Supervise completion of interviewing and clerical tasks to obtain registration information; mail questionnaires; update patient reservation files; pre-register by phone and from computer database; print packets; prepare charts and armbands; contact patients and guarantors; confirm coverage.
• Interview incoming patients; obtain identifying information; apply data in computer database.
• Perform Bed Scheduler duties; take reservations by phone; coordinate cancellations and transfers; handle admissions/ transfers queries; prepare armbands; may work across departments.
• Supervise decentralized Registration sites; open registration center each weekday morning; supervise paper registrations; manage department accounts and supplies.
