Job summary

Aramark Patient Services Supervisors oversee the receipt, interpretation, and follow-through of patient diet orders in hospital and long-term care settings. They act as a liaison between the patient, the Food and Nutrition Services Department, and Nursing Services.

They lead, train, and support Patient Services Workers during meals, ensure nutrition orders are followed, and maintain sanitation and temperature logs to safeguard patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Patient Services Supervisor required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal communication.
• Excellent organization, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Proficient in English (reading/writing); bilingual preferred but not required.
• Ability to manage staff during meal service and patient rounds.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Patient Services Workers during meal service.
• Delivers nourishments and/or snacks to patients as ordered by physician/dietitian.
• Visits patients to introduce the services of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Communicate all patient food needs to the appropriate area.
• Ensures that nutrition diet care orders are provided to the patient by offering appropriate menu selections.
• Maintains and adheres to sanitation standards and cleaning schedules.
• Lead, train, and support Patient Services Workers in their roles.
• Inventories and restocks pantries, refrigerators, and freezers.
• Maintains temperature logs for unit refrigerators and freezers.
• Understands therapeutic diets and assists as Supervisor if an error is observed.
• Assists clinical staff in meeting patients' basic nutrition care needs.
