Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe is seeking a Lead Patient Care Tech to deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care as part of the nursing team. You will provide hands-on patient care, assist with advanced procedures, and mentor both new and experienced patient care tech staff.

You will support ADLs, monitor vital signs and telemetry, document care accurately, and help maintain a safe, clean environment following infection prevention practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in hands-on patient care in a hospital or clinical setting.
• Ability to assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Proven ability to document patient information accurately and timely.

Responsibilities

• Assisting patients with ADLs, mobility and comfort; check vital signs and monitor telemetry as needed.
• Documenting patient care accurately and communicating important updates to the nursing team.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment by following infection prevention practices and ensuring supplies are ready.
• Respond to patient needs through rounding and compassionate communication to promote comfort and trust.
• Train new team members and share updates on policies and quality improvements.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Lead Patient Care Tech, you’ll be an integral part of the nursing team, delivering compassionate care that impacts patients’ lives every day. You’ll provide hands‑on patient care, assist with advanced procedures, and help guide and mentor and support the growth of new and experienced patient care tech staff.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting patients with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living), supporting mobility and comfort, checking vital signs, collecting specimens, preparing for procedures, and monitoring telemetry as needed
• Documenting patient care accurately and communicating important updates to the nursing team to ensure coordinated, timely care
• Helping maintain a safe, clean environment by following infection prevention practices, setting up and caring for equipment, and ensuring needed supplies are ready
• Responding to patient needs through regular rounding and compassionate communication to promote comfort and trust
• Training new team members, sharing updates on policies and quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient care

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
