Miraval Berkshires is seeking a Pastry Cook to craft a variety of desserts and baked goods for our resort guests in a fast-paced kitchen. You will work closely with the Pastry Chef and kitchen team to deliver exceptional culinary experiences that reflect Miraval's high standards.

The role requires creativity, precision, and strong baking skills, with a passion for quality, presentation, and teamwork in a luxury wellness resort setting.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a professional pastry kitchen.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role.
• Strong baking and pastry skills, with knowledge of various baking techniques and ingredients.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision in execution.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods, including cakes, cookies, pies, bread, tarts, and pastries, ensuring high quality and consistency.
• Follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in flavor, texture, and presentation of all baked items.
• Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes, using a variety of kitchen tools and equipment.
• Inspect and ensure the quality of ingredients and finished products, maintaining a high standard of presentation.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to coordinate the preparation of items for special events, banquets, and daily service.
