Job summary

Knott's Berry Farm is seeking a Pastry Chef to oversee the Bakery department, crafting cakes, pies, tarts and breads while coordinating with the Executive team on pairing desserts with breads and planning pastry prep. You will supervise baking staff, manage PAR levels, budgets and scheduling, and handle administrative duties.

The role requires strong production leadership, extensive pastry knowledge, and ability to drive standards across a high-volume park bakery environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in culinary arts required.
• ServSafe Manager certification required.
• California Food Handler's Card.

Responsibilities

• Train and certify bakery staff to meet standards.
• Coordinate with Executive Sous Chef on menu and production.
• Maintain health and safety compliance and records.
• Order supplies and manage inventory to meet demand.
• Craft desserts and breads; develop new menu items.
• Oversee inventory, COGS, and bakery finances.
• Communicate effectively with staff and leadership.
• Motivate and recognize team members.
