Job summary

Pearl River Resort Associates is seeking a PASTRY CHEF-BAKE SHOP for our Choctaw, MS venue. You will oversee daily bake shop operations, ensure quality of all finished products, and maintain safety and sanitation standards across the department.

You will mentor pastry staff, develop creative dessert offerings, manage inventory and costs, and collaborate with banquet teams for weddings and other events. A Serv-Safe certification or certifiable within 180 days is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required and technical training preferred.
• 7 years experience in bakery and pastry, including artisan bread, ice cream, sorbet, sugar/chocolate work.
• Serv-Safe certification or certifiable within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate culinary workflow for the kitchen operation on a continual basis.
• Prepare baked goods per recipes and department specs.
• Develop new desserts and create themed items for events.
• Supervise bake shop staff and ensure food safety and hygiene.
• Control food and labor costs within budget; monitor staff performance.
