Qualifications

• Elder character per 1 Tim 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9; 1 Pet 5:1-4.
• Competency in study and exposition of Scripture.
• Skilled expositional preacher/teacher of God’s Word.
• Public/private alignment with SLF Statement of Faith.
• Adherence to the five solas of the Reformation.
• Commitment to elder-led/ruled church government.
• Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Conviction that worship is central to the gathered church’s edification.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate godliness as an example to the flock.
• Provide visionary leadership aligned with SLF’s mission and pillars.
• Serve as primary preaching/teaching pastor for Sunday services (40+ weeks/year).
• Shepherd the congregation with wisdom, maturity, humility, and servanthood.
• Provide biblical counseling, discipleship, church discipline, hospitality, and fellowship.
