Qualifications

• Elder character as described in scripture.
• Competent in study and exposition of scriptures.
• Skilled expositional preacher/teacher of the whole counsel of God.
• Public and private agreement with the church's Statement of Faith.
• Adherence to the five solas of the Reformation.
• Commitment to elder-led church governance under a plurality of elders.
• Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Conviction that the gathered church is for building up the saints, not evangelistic entertainment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate godliness and exemplary leadership.
• Provide visionary and directional leadership in coordination with the elders.
• Serve as the primary preaching/teaching pastor and preach expositional sermons for Sunday services (at least 40 weeks/year).
• Shepherd the congregation with wisdom, maturity, humility, and servant leadership.
• Provide pastoral care through biblically grounded counseling, discipleship, and church discipline.
