Job summary

Glick Fire Equipment Co., Inc. in Lancaster, PA is seeking a Lead Parts Representative to join our team. You will handle customer inquiries, quotes, parts ordering, invoicing and cycle counts, ensuring accurate data and excellent service in a fast-paced environment.

The role runs Monday through Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm, with opportunities to collaborate across departments, mentor teammates, and contribute to process improvements while upholding our values of teamwork and customer focus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience with heavy-duty truck parts, functions and repairs.
• Proficient typing, strong phone communication, and intermediate MS Office.
• Knowledge of purchasing systems, inventory principles and shop environments.
• Ability to source proper parts from manuals, manufacturers, and sources.
• Critical thinking to anticipate related parts during repairs.

Responsibilities

• Provide total customer satisfaction to exceed expectations.
• Assist with incoming emails, phone calls and walk-in customers for retail parts sales.
• Generate and follow through with quotes, sales orders, parts ordering and invoicing.
• Review reports with Senior Parts Manager and help teammates resolve errors.
• Oversee implementation of new processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with vendors to solve parts problems for customers.
• Lead cycle counts for the Lancaster area and manage inventories company wide.
• Lead initial build and parts orders for new service trucks.
• Ensure accuracy of data entered into inventory software.
• Assist with shipping and receiving.
• Complete timecards in a timely fashion.
• Collaborate to advance teamwork, innovation, and customer service.
• Develop respectful relationships with coworkers and be willing to assist.

Lead Parts Representative Position Summary

Glick is a family-owned-and-operated business that employs more than 100 people throughout Pennsylvania. We offer high quality products and service for Fire & EMS companies. The Lead Parts Representative will work Monday-Friday from 7:30am-4:00pm alongside other customer service employees to achieve optimum efficiency and excellent customer service, in keeping with the values and vision of Glick Fire Equipment.

Lead Parts Representative Job Responsibilities

• Provide total customer satisfaction to ensure a standard of customer service that exceeds customer and management expectations.
• Assist with incoming emails, phone calls and walk-in customers for retail parts sales.
• Generate and follow through with quotes, sales orders, ordering parts and invoicing customers.
• Review reports with Senior Parts Manager, lead and assist coworkers to work through errors.
• Oversee implementation of new processes and procedures.
• Work closely with vendors to solve parts problems encountered by customers.
• Lead cycle counts for the Lancaster area and initiate and review all truck inventories company wide.
• Lead initial build and parts order for all new service trucks.
• Ensure accuracy and reliability of data entered into inventory software system.
• Assist with shipping and receiving.
• Complete timecards in a timely fashion.
• Work collaboratively within the company to advance values of teamwork, innovation, customer service, professional development and meeting challenges.
• Develop respectful and cooperative relationships with co-workers, including a willingness to assist where needed.

Lead Parts Representative Requirements

• H.S. diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Minimum of 3 - 5 yrs working knowledge and experience with heavy-duty truck parts, functions, and repairs.
• Proficient typing skills, excellent phone skills, and intermediate Microsoft Office programs.
• Knowledge of purchasing systems, inventory principles, and shop environments.
• Knowledge in methods for obtaining the proper parts needed for repairs and maintenance.
• Ability to exercise resourcefulness and ingenuity in gathering information from parts manuals, manufacturers, websites and other sources to determine acceptable parts and/or substitute parts.
• Critical thinking skills to recognize related parts needed in addition to the parts requested for certain types of repairs.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs with frequent lifting and/or carrying of 25 lbs.
