Job summary

Roundglass is seeking a mission-driven development leader to guide the organization’s funding strategy and donor relations from its Bellevue, WA location. You will oversee a large donor portfolio, engage supporters with personalized outreach, and shape organizational planning, budgeting, and reporting in collaboration with the Advisory Council.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, and governance, with a strong emphasis on ethics, strategy, and stakeholder

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the development and revision of the organization’s business plan with goals, milestones, and budgets.
• Liaise with Advisory Council and regional Foundation Chapters to support outreach and relationship-building.
• Oversee a portfolio of approximately 200 donors, ensuring personalized engagement.
• Conduct regular contact with supporters (1–3 per business day).
• Provide responsive, personal support to Advisory Council members and partners.
• Create reports on funding use and benefits, aligning with reporting preferences.
• Maintain donor database protocols and ensure up-to-date records.
• Oversee production of projections and results to meet goals.
• Lead Development Office planning, policies, and implementation.
• Ensure staff and board read and discuss AFP Code of Ethics.

What you’ll do

• Coordinate the development and revision of the organization’s business plan, articulating organization‑wide goals, strategies, milestones, metrics, financial strategy, and staffing & budget projections.
• Serve as a liaison to support the outreach, advocacy, and relationship‑building efforts of the Advisory Council and the set of regional Foundation Chapters.
• Directly oversee a portfolio of approximately 200 current and prospective financial supporters, ensuring each receives continuous, personalized attention and engagement.
• Conduct a minimum of one and an optimum of three personal contacts with current and prospective supporters each business day.
• Provide efficient, responsive, and personal support for each Advisor Council member to build strong relationships with partners and investors.
• Create personalized face‑to‑face follow‑up reports explaining the use of funding and the benefits created, while consulting supporters on reporting preferences.
• Maintain database protocols and procedures, ensuring the donor database is continuously updated with accurate, up‑to‑date information.
• Oversee the production and distribution of projections and results to keep the organization on track to meet goals.
• Lead the development and implementation of the Development Office’s planning efforts, including policies, procedures, and goal implementation.
• Ensure that Development Office staff and Board members annually read and discuss the AFP Code of Ethics, engaging with its principles and adhering to ethical standards.

Pay & Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position starts at $130,000 plus full benefits. Actual pay will be based on job‑related skills, experience, location, and internal equity, as permitted by Washington State law. Certain roles may be eligible for a bonus or incentive.
