Job summary

Google’s YouTube team seeks a Partner Engineer on the Devices Platform Operations group to lead deployments, optimize implementations, and manage integrations to build strong, long-term device partnerships.

You will own technical engagements and drive creative solutions, collaborating with Product, Engineering, Business Development, and Operations, while balancing business and technical constraints across mobile and living room devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of software development experience programming in C++.
• 6 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
• Experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation reviews, resolve technical issues, and ensure seamless partner integrations across Mobile and Living Room devices with comprehensive documentation.
• Ensure the technical aspects of a partner’s integration (both new and ongoing) by providing necessary documentation and technical guidance. Identify, drive, and optimize the business flow from existing and new business opportunities by leveraging YouTube technologies.
• Work closely with external partners and our cross-functional teams within Mobile and Living Room devices to help ensure projects are aligned with business and technical objectives. Work closely with our YouTube Engineering teams responsible for development of the SDK, help evangelise and educate partners on new releases.
• Access Google AI resources to streamline workflows—leveraging DeepMind AlphaEvolve for memory optimization and Gemini models to build agents for automated on-device testing, regression detection, and remediation.
