Job summary

Game Fish & Parks in Lake City, SD seeks a Park Maintenance Technician to lead maintenance and operations at Fort Sisseton Historic State Park. Responsibilities include managing facilities, grounds, and equipment, and supervising seasonal staff to ensure safe, clean, and accessible park facilities year-round.

The ideal candidate will have a background in grounds and equipment maintenance, with skills in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and related trades, and the ability to perform manual labor

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance fields with grounds and equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general facility maintenance.
• Ability to lead seasonal staff and coordinate tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage facility maintenance at Fort Sisseton Historic State Park.
• Maintain historic structures, grounds, and facilities (camping cabins, sites, offices, etc.).
• Direct seasonal staff to ensure facilities are clean, safe, and accessible.
• Operate and repair park equipment and assist with winter storage and spring startup.
