Qualifications

• Paraprofessional with 5+ years in the Chelsea Public Schools district and experience training other paraprofessionals.

Responsibilities

• Train and guide new paraprofessionals to excel in the position.
• Introduce the new paraprofessional to staff and help navigate tasks.
• Provide information on important dates and deadlines and guidance on role-related topics.
• Support with navigating technical issues.
• Provide support for new paras during the first two years of employment, with time allocations during and after school hours.
• Keep a log of paraprofessionals who consulted and topics raised.
• Track hours on time sheets and submit to the Clerk.
• Attend 4-6 district-wide meetings throughout the school year.
