Duluth Public Schools is hiring a Supervisory Paraprofessional at Ordean East Middle School. The role runs 32.75 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:20 am to 3:35 pm, with a starting wage of $19.61 per hour plus benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a teacher's assistant in a teaching environment.
• 60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits or ParaPro Assessment pass.

Responsibilities

• Effective communication with students, staff and families.
• Ability to work cooperatively with children and adults.
• Maintain positive working relationships with students, parents, staff and community.
• Maintain confidentiality in all matters.
• Assist in physical tasks as required by position.
• Observe and record accurately as part of student monitoring.
• Meet federal/state guidelines and complete specified in-service courses as needed.
• Intervene in crisis situations when necessary.
• Follow directives from supervisors.
• Desire and experience working with high school population.
• General knowledge of school attendance and parking policies.
