Job summary

Laradon in Denver, CO is seeking a Class 7 Lead Paraprofessional (Internal Only) to support students with IEP goals under the guidance of the Special Education Teacher. This full-year, 8-to-4 schedule offers a starting salary range of $23.00 to $26.95 per hour, with a commitment to a safe, positive learning environment.

You will mentor new paraprofessionals, implement IEP goals, coordinate with families and the interdisciplinary team, and, when needed, serve as a substitute teacher.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with one or more years’ experience with children with IDD/ED disorders in an educational setting.
• Three or five year Substitute License through Colorado Department of Education.
• Qualified Medication Administration Personnel (QMAP-CDPHE) training.
• Ability to demonstrate patience, flexibility, strong communication skills and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Implement, track and record IEP goals, behavior support plans and crisis intervention techniques.
• Implement behavior support plans and proactive techniques including positive reinforcement.
• Provide supervision while actively engaging students.
• Coordinate with team members and communicate effectively.
• Maintain confidentiality and document procedures.
