Job summary

Dorchester County is seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor Paramedic to lead EMS operations, ensure high-quality patient care, and maintain compliance with state and county protocols. You will oversee Paramedics/EMTs, review EMS reports, and coordinate public events while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

Applicants must be licensed Paramedics in Maryland, NR, with leadership experience, and possess multiple certifications such as ACLS, PALS/PEPP, and incident command.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five consecutive years as Paramedic II (Full-time) with Dorchester County or ten+ years with another agency.
• Licensed Paramedic by National Registry and Maryland must be current.
• Advanced Airways and critical care procedures familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Provide lifesaving care at scene and during transport in an ambulance to hospital.
• Assess illnesses and injuries and administer advanced life support per protocol.
• Coordinate shift EMS operations and supervise EMTs/Paramedics.
