Job summary

Priority Ondemand in Hyattsville, MD seeks an experienced Lifecare Medical Transports professional to lead EMS crews in pre-hospital and facility settings. You will deliver basic and advanced life support, supervise attendants-in-charge, and ensure patient care aligns with protocols.

Requirements include Maryland EMT-P, CPR (Healthcare Provider), ACLS, PALS/PEPP, EVOC, and a clean driving record with background check. Training and relocation opportunities across the United States are offered.

Qualifications

• Maryland EMT-P certification is required.
• Current CPR, Healthcare Provider Edition is required.
• ACLS, PALS/PEPP, EVOC and HAZMAT certs are required or preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean record and pass background check.
• FEMA ICSC certifications listed are required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in basic and advanced life support deliveries in pre-hospital or facility settings.
• Direct fellow crew members when acting as attendant-in-charge on patient care.
• Examine patients and report findings to receiving medical staff or physicians.
• Deliver emergency medical care as indicated by protocols and medical control.
• Complete and file all required reports for each run.
• Operate ambulance safely following company policies and laws.
• Ensure vehicle is stocked and in good order at shift start, after responses, and end of shift.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient care area and vehicle per guidelines.
• Attend trainings to maintain Virginia EMT certification and company requirements.
• Maintain all required EMS certifications and submit copies before expiration.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and participate in the delivery of basic and advanced life support in a pre‑hospital or facility situation.
• Provide direction to other crew members when operating as attendant‑in‑charge on patient care and medical issues.
• Examine patients and report findings to receiving medical staff or physicians.
• Deliver emergency medical care to patients as indicated by medical control or patient care protocols.
• Complete and record all required reports or runs made by the crews.
• Operate the ambulance in accordance with safety rules and regulations: company policies; federal, state and local laws, regulations, and statutes.
• Ensure the assigned vehicle is fully stocked and in good running order at the beginning of each shift, after every response, and at the end of each shift.
• Clean patient care compartment and vehicle in accordance with company‑adopted infection control and maintenance guidelines.
• Maintain the office, lounge, bunk room, and vehicle parking area in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Lift, carry, and balance a minimum of 125 pounds equally distributed and 250 pounds with assistance, to a height of 33 inches and a distance of 10 feet.
• Attend training sessions and orientations as required to maintain valid Virginia EMT Certification and other company requirements.
• Maintain all required certifications as an active EMS provider and submit valid copies of all certifications and driver’s license to Human Resources prior to expiration.
• Perform other related duties as required by management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Current Maryland EMT-P certification.
• Current CPR, Healthcare Provider Issue.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current PALS/PEPP certification.
• Current EVOC certification.
• BTLS/ITLS or PHTLS preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with no negative points.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• FEMA ICSC 100, 200, 700 & 800c certification.
• HAZMAT certification.
