Job summary

City of Victoria’s Fire Department is seeking Paramedic Crew Leaders to respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, provide patient care, lead medical crews in treatment and transport, and operate and maintain all necessary medical equipment.

This position works a 24/72 shift and requires TDSHS EMT-Paramedic Certification. A sign-on bonus up to $10,000 may be offered based on experience. The role includes testing and interviews as part of selection.

Qualifications

• EMT-Paramedic certification required by Texas DSHS.
• EVOC and STEP program within timeline.
• Valid driver's license and driving record meeting city standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead medical crew in treatment and transport of patients.
• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Operate and maintain EMS equipment.
• Drive and operate assigned emergency vehicle.
• Participate in fire prevention and training.
• Maintain records of EMS activities.
