Job summary

Hamilton County EMS is seeking a lead paramedic to deliver emergency, pre-hospital care and transport for critically ill or injured patients. You will respond to emergencies on a 24/72 shift, administer advanced life support, and coordinate with hospitals and public safety teams.

Required are a Tennessee paramedic license (or national registration), ACLS/ITLS or trauma training, and a valid driver’s license. Overtime applicable; certification in EVOC is expected and essential for duty.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid TN Paramedic License or be nationally registered and eligible for Tennessee licensure prior to employment.
• Current ACLS and ITLS (or equivalent trauma training) certification.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s license (TN Class D or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency, pre-hospital care and transportation to critically injured or ill patients.
• Respond to emergencies during a 24-hour tour of duty; determine and administer appropriate care.
• Maintain records, equipment, and vehicle readiness; coordinate with hospital staff and other agencies.
