Job summary

AMR is hiring Paramedics for a full-time role in Billings. The selected candidates will provide advanced patient care, operate defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen and suction devices, and manage IV therapy in emergency settings.

The position requires a State Paramedic License, BLS/ACLS/NREMT-Paramedic certifications, and a valid driver’s license. A compliant driving record and ability to pass a physical agility test are also required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
State Paramedic License is required.
State Driver’s License is required.
BLS, ACLS, and NREMT-Paramedic certifications are required.
Candidate must have a compliant driving record.
Pass a Physical Agility Test.
Some healthcare work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess each call to determine best course of action using Paramedic protocols.
Use Paramedic skills with medical equipment and procedures (defibrillators, EKG, oxygen, suction, IV fluids).
Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and reassurance.
Lead the Paramedic team and manage scene and unit when needed.
Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and relations.
