Job summary

Lever, Inc. in Virginia seeks a Paramedic to serve as the lead clinician on ALS and, when credentialed, Critical Care Transport units, delivering advanced assessment and intervention for emergent and non-emergent ground transports.

The Paramedic is responsible for the clinical care of the patient from bedside to bedside and for the direction of the crew during patient care. Schedule features cycled 10- and 12-hour rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 operation including nights, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• Virginia OEMS Paramedic certification or Virginia reciprocity eligibility at hire.
• Current CPR/BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• DHHS-standard training program of at least 150 hours including in-hospital clinical component.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced patient assessment and care under PPT protocols and medical direction.
• Lead unit clinical care and direct EMT partner and augmented crew.
• Maintain ICU-level therapies during transport including vasoactive infusions, ventilation, and lines.
• Operate critical care equipment and document interventions in Traumasoft.
• Verify narcotics counts and secure storage per PPT policy; maintain narcotic documentation.
• Perform pre/post-shift equipment checks and contribute to QA/training.
