Job summary

Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, through the Nashville Fire Department, seeks a Paramedic to provide advanced emergency medical care, triage, and transport to hospitals. The role requires strong patient assessment, radio communication skills, and leadership during high-pressure scenes.

Candidates must hold a Tennessee Paramedic License (ACLS, PHTLS/BLTS), be 21+, and comply with NFPA Medical Standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a State of Tennessee Paramedic License.
• Must meet NFPA Medical Standards and be 21+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Responds to incidents requiring emergency medical care.
• Renders advanced emergency care and transports patients to facilities.
• Drives ambulance as needed and records patient information.
• Maintains equipment and conducts routine vehicle checks.
• Participates in ongoing training to improve knowledge and skills.
