Job summary

Hamilton County EMS seeks qualified paramedics to operate on a 24/72 shift schedule. Base hours include 1,872 regular hours plus 312 hours of mandatory overtime to meet community needs. Overtime is paid at time and a half.

Under supervision, provide emergency, pre-hospital care and transport to the critically ill or injured within license parameters. Essential duties include responding to calls, assessing needs, administering ALS, transporting patients, maintaining equipment, and communicating

Qualifications

• Must have TN Paramedic license or National Registry with TN eligibility prior to employment.
• ACLS and ITLS or equivalent trauma training required.
• Valid TN Class D driver’s license or equivalent.
• Must be at least 19 years old and possess a high school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies within a 24-hour tour and provide advanced life support care.
• Administer medications and perform invasive procedures as qualified.
• Transport patients to hospital and communicate with receiving staff.
• Maintain records, restock equipment, and keep vehicles ready for response.
