Job summary

Unissant, Inc. is seeking a Senior Palantir Foundry Developer (Lead) to join our team and support our client in Washington, DC/Herndon, VA.

This is a full-time, hybrid role requiring onsite work two to three days per week, with the opportunity to lead the practice and mentor junior staff from day one. The ideal candidate will own Foundry end-to-end delivery, design complex ontology models, and influence architecture decisions while collaborating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Five (5) or more years of software or data engineering experience, including three (3) or more years of hands-on Palantir Foundry experience in a lead or senior capacity.
• Demonstrated experience owning Foundry solutions end-to-end, ideally in a federal or highly regulated environment.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and TypeScript.
• Experience translating ambiguous client requirements into scalable technical architecture.
• Prior experience supporting DHS, CBP, or other federal law enforcement/homeland security clients preferred.
• Experience standing up or scaling a Palantir practice within a consulting or systems integrator environment preferred.
• Familiarity with AIP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for Foundry application and ontology development across client engagements.
• Design and build complex ontology models, Actions, Functions, and Workshop applications from the ground up.
• Own solution architecture decisions in coordination with client stakeholders and Unillant leadership.
• Mentor and upskill junior developers as the practice scales.
• Serve as a primary technical point of contact in client meetings and proposal support activities.
• Establish reusable frameworks, templates, and best practices for the practice.
