Job summary

Dartmouth College Campus Services in Hanover, NH is seeking a Painter II to lead small painting projects and perform intermediate to advanced surface preparation and coating applications.

The role requires 3–5 years of commercial/institutional painting experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School plus 3+ years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum three- to five years of commercial/institutional painting experience.
• Must hold a valid driver's license and be qualified under the terms of the Dartmouth College Driver Safety and Motor Vehicle Policy.
• Able to interact successfully with the College community in a service-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspects smaller and routine sites to determine procedure, material, tools and methodology needed.
• Selects pre-mixed paints/stains including enamels, glosses, varnishes, stains, lacquers, & shellacs.
• Cleans brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and other equipment; safely disposes of used paints and rags.
• Uses ladders, scaffold, and/or platform as appropriate in a safe manner.
